Matt has practiced general civil litigation in Seattle since 1987. He has a broad range of trial and appellate litigation experience, focusing on complex civil litigation, intellectual property, class action and consumer protection matters. Recent successes include a series of successful prosecutions of copyright and trademark claims in federal court; favorable settlements of class actions involving deceptive marketing of an analog-based vehicle safety and navigation system, hospital charity care, undisclosed hospital charges, federal wage and hour violations, and improper sub-prime lending; defense judgments for several Fortune 500 clients in federal court and private arbitrations; and victories for Washington farm workers and immigrant workers in civil rights and pro bono cases in both state and federal courts.
