  • Richard Bach v. Sergio Bambaren and Hay House, Inc., U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, No. C09-1787 RSL (ongoing) (represent plaintiff author in copyright claims against author and publisher of novel involving fictional character Daniel Alexander Dolphin, alleging infringement of plaintiff’s novel, Jonathan Livingston Seagull).
  • Quiring Monuments, Inc. v. Pacific Coast Memorials, Inc., U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, No. C09-0852 JLR (2009-2010) (represented plaintiff monument and memorial company in copyright claims against competing company for copying monument and memorial designs; after significant discovery and motion practice, case settled favorably).
  • Anderson v. Penguin Books, Ltd., et al., U.S. District Court, District of Alaska, No. C08-0158 TMB (2009-2010) (represented plaintiff photographer in copyright claims against book publisher and related companies for copying photograph of aurora borealis; after significant jurisdictional discovery and motion practice, obtained $100,000 in successful settlement for client).
  • Deputy v. AB Universal LLC, U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, No. C10-0226 RAJ (2010) (represented defendant Internet seller in copyright claims arising out of Internet sales of digital photography backdrops; successfully negotiated voluntary dismissal of claims).
  • Russell Munson v. Luciano Soprani S.R.L., U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington, No. C07-1122 RAJ (2007-2008) (represented plaintiff photographer in claims against Italian designer and perfume manufacturer for copying photograph; successfully negotiated favorable settlement).
  • Richard Bach and Russell Munson v. Forever Living Products (2005-2007), 473 F. Supp. 2d 1110 (W.D. Wash. 2007) and 473 F. Supp. 2d 1127 (W.D. Wash. 2007) (represented author and photographer in copyright and trademark litigation against manufacturer and distributor of health and beauty products; successfully resolved by settlement)
  • Carver v. Gallagher, Clallam County Superior Court No. 95-2-00704-1 (represented daughter of the late author Raymond Carver in litigation involving copyright renewal rights to her father's pre-1978 works; successfully resolved by settlement).
  • Progressive Animal Welfare Society v. University of Washington, 125 Wn.2d 243 (1994) (represented Johns Hopkins University in case involving proper balance between researcher's intellectual property rights and rights to public disclosure under state public disclosure laws).
